Dear Reader
My Grandfather, known as Gramps, was a keen gardener and nature lover and had a lot of bees visiting the flowers in his garden.
When I was a young girl, a bumblebee stopped on a flower and Gramps said, "Did you know that you can stroke a bumblebee?"
To my utter astonishment, a bumblebee sat patiently while my grandfather gently stroked it's back!
My Grandfather not only demonstrated, but explained to me, that bumblebees are gentle creatures.
My Grandfather taught me that Bumblebee's are crucial insects for the pollination of vegetables, fruits and much more, all necessary to OUR own survival and our planet's.
This instilled an appreciative view, of the impressive yet humble, Bumble Bee, one that I wish to share.
I realise by using my art, I can bring more people's attention to how these amazing creatures effect our daily lives and how much we rely on the work they do.
I believe, seeing them in your home, on your wall and knowing their worth, will nurture or encourage a stronger emotional connection to them. Painting them has certainly done that for me, maybe even more so, as I paint the originals with my fingers!
I think it's fair to say that Fingerpainting is an unusual form of painting for an adult!
The technique of fingerpainting enables me to have a looser precision and an immediate control of the paint. I can place, add, move and mix the paint more efficiently. The end result leaves a tantalising texture that only my finger movements have created.
I mainly sell my fingerpaintings as originals.
However, I wish to spread the word about the bumblebee's importance.

About Saskia Skoric
Saskia Skoric is a Fine Art Fingerpainter living in Fulham, London, England.
Saskia began her art career selling originals, prints and taking on commissions, mainly concentrating on pet portraits.
THEN in 2016, EVERYTHING changed..........
Saskia began experimenting with different techniques and found a passion for fingerpainting.
Since then she has exhibited in a number of places including, The Palace Gardener, Capital Art Gallery, Love & Dye Salon, The Talented Art Fair, SOFAP where she won Best Artwork and also in the world famous and prestigious TRAMP Nightclub.
Saskia has featured in a variety of publications including, Birds and Avery Magazine, Paint Magazine, Chelsea Life, Knightsbridge and Belgravia Magazine.
Despite continuing to perfect this style, Saskia has sold a large number of originals and commissions and has gained many new and repeat collectors in the UK and the USA.
